We do love our design field trips. This week we visited the Washington Design Center for their first annual Market Day. Speakers, book signings, design celebrities and of course, free food and drinks! So much to get our design juices flowing. It was like a mini version of High Point — showrooms full of design inspiration but no need to pack up the pickup and head south (and significantly less walking).

Checking out the Fabricut line with our rep Gary.

Lots of good Link outdoor fabric options at Michael-Cleary.

Sectional shopping for a client.

And love seat shopping too!

Must measure those seat cushions!

Gorgeous rug hanging in the Stark showroom.

Fun fabric on ottomans at Hickory Chair.

Keeping our “American Eye” out for details like textural fabric, piping and nail head.

Kate’s favorite: a brass and fabric rocker from American Eye.

Angie’s favorite: A wall covering at Romo.

Kelly’s favorite: modern, graphic herring bone pattern on a sleek chair from Michael-Cleary.

Sharon’s favorite: ikat meets chevron on this fabric from Schumacher.

Yarn options for custom rugs at Schumacher.

Enjoying a refreshment with our Romo rep Mike.

Free champagne (cool necklace Kate)!!

Free snacks!
Another fun and inspiring day outside of the office — we’ve totally whet our appetites for High Point Market next month. Be sure to join us on the blog!
