Last week was our annual design pilgrimage to High Point Market in search of new products and design inspiration. We walked through miles of showrooms, sat in a lot of furniture, caught up with our favorite vendors and met and chatted with other designers. We’ll be sharing lots more about the trends we spotted, but let’s start with some of our favorites finds from Spring market:

Kate loved this vignette in Mr. Brown‘s showroom — an always stylish spot. We spy three design trends in this photo that were all over High Point: white, gold and animal accessories.

A cocktail table with display space for your favorited objets d’art (nice shoes Kate) from Vanguard.

Angie favorited this angular cocktail table at Shine by S.H.O.

A new cocktail table by Barry Goralnick for Vanguard caught Mel’s eye.

Another cocktail — and an exotic style trend we saw throughout market — Mel loved from Hickory Chair.

Statement cabinet fronts were big — Kate loved this one from John Richard.

Mel was loving a lot of pieces with mixed materials like this desk from Bernhardt.

We all loved this off-kilter Joybird Louie chair but Angie picked it as a favorite. Try a pair side-by-side for stunning impact.

Unique architectural lines on chairs was a big trend and Angie says this good-looking example from Vanguard was also super comfortable.

Speaking of cool lines, check out Kelly’s groovy pick from Roberta Schilling.

Kate loved this wood and metal mix bar stool with a unique front from Chandra.

Kelly liked this COUEF swivel chair because it was very comfortable and featured a pull-out table for your drink.

Kelly liked this blue lacquer dining table — it’s shine reflects more stylish elements in the Julian Chichester showroom.

Stacked blocks form the base for this unique desk spotted by Kelly in the CFC showroom.

Angie spotted this accent table at Hickory Chair that sports a mix of metal and customizable color.

Kate loves Kate! Stylish black and white fixtures in the new Kate Spade line for Visual Comfort.

Mel style spotted this fabulous chandelier from Aerin Lauder for Visual Comfort.

No table space for your lighting? No problem! Kelly loved this functional and stylish wall-mounted light fixture from Julian Chichester.

White was big at market and it looked lovely on this mirror surrounded by sprigs of hand-cut coco wood petals spotted by Kelly at Palecek.

Fun umbrella art would brighten up a room, rain or shine. Mel is coveting these prints from Thom Filicia for Soicher-Marin.

Bold color contrasts with negative space for artwork that caught Angie’s eye at Design Legacy.
